I Feel (un)Seen - The Invisible Man's Revenge

Hoo boy, this is the least of the Universal movies by far.  It has so many weird plot threads, but not in the entertaining way that Invisible Agent has.   Co-starring John Carradine (the patriarch of the Carradine family) but he's not given a lot to do and the effects never seem as fun as the previous movies.    In this case, he's a scientist who has the invisibility serum for...reasons?  And he uses it on a criminal played by John Hall, who of course (following the motif of these movies) slowly starts going insane and goes on a crime spree.

I have to admit; I seriously had to look at the Wiki for this movie to follow the doofy plot and all of its threads.   There's a near drowning.  A boring romance.   A blood transfusion followed by a laboratory on fire.  I cannot recommend this movie at all, but it's kind of a fascinating bunch of things that never quite mesh.  Director Ford Beebe did a lot of serials back in the day and it kind of shows; there's so many disparate elements that get tossed out and never really followed up on like, "Well, we'll just fix it next Saturday."  But in this case, they never really do.

Usually I would put up the trailer for this but in his case there is none on YouTube.  It is available on DVD and oddly, also on the Internet Archive (I kind of wonder if Universal has abandoned this one).

In two weeks, hopefully we'll have a lot more fun with Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man!
